David Berkoff (1966 - present)
David Berkoff received his M.S. in Environmental Science and J.D. from the University of Montana before going on to attend Harvard University. Prior to his arrival in Missoula, Berkoff won 4 gold medals swimming in the Olympics. He also set four world records and created a revolutionary new backstroke technique called the “Berkoff Blastoff.” Following his swimming career, Berkoff returned to Montana and practiced law for over 22 years. During that time he also coached the Montana Aquatic Club team from 2008-2018 before taking a 4 year break. In 2022 he returned to the pool, this time as a coach for Team Eugene Aquatics Center. Berkoff has been a dedicated member of the Montana community since first attending the university in 1995.
