Tucker grew up in Norwich, Vermont in the 1990s and moved to Missoula to be with friends, get his degree, ski and fish. Sargent attended the University of Montana from 2006-2008, and played for UM lacrosse as a part of the 2007 national championship team. After graduating in 2008, Tucker went on to coach the UM lacrosse team the following year, and has continued to coach them to this day. Tucker and a friend, Ryan Tootell, did the first daily sports talk show in Missoula from 2014-2017, and the show is still carried on today by Colter Nuanez. On top of coaching Griz lacrosse for the past 16 years, Tucker also manages team sales at Hockey Lacrosse Wolf Missoula, and has been the general manager of the Griz hockey team since its resurgence in 2021.
