Gerald (Gerry) Seidensticker
Gerald (Gerry) Seidensticker grew up in Dillon, Montana and is a third generation scholar. Seidensticker retired as Principal of Rattlesnake Elementary of Missoula County Public Schools in 2021. He was a school teacher at Busby, Hobson, Red Lodge, Lolo, Rattlesnake, Grantsdale, and Hamilton Middle Schools and served as Principal for Grantsdale and Daly Elementary Schools (Hamilton, Mt); Principal for Rattlesnake Elementary School (Missoula, MT).
Gerry received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1978 at University of Montana Western; Master’s Degree in 1990 at University of Montana Western; and Doctorate in 1998 at University of Montana (Education). He's taught women’s middle school basketball since the 1980s, whether as a school teacher or principal. Seidensticker witnessed the growth of University of Montana Football during the 1990s, most particularly how Washington Stadium has changed over time. Seidensticker witnessed the growth of Women’s College Basketball along the growth for girls basketball throughout Western Montana during the last 20 years.
