Forestry

The rest of the country sees Montana as a land of natural splendor. Our rivers, mountains, and, most importantly, forests are our state’s defining traits. The founders of the W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation understood that these resources could disappear if improperly managed. Conserving and protecting our natural resources for the benefit of future generations was no easy task. The Forestry program prepares students to work in the magnificent forests of our state and our world. By pairing academic research and field experience, Forestry Alumni are perfectly prepared for the difficulties being thrown at us by our ever-changing environment.
